Congrats to Bill Hall on his O'Day 222.  Bill had George Balas for crew, decided to change to his jib with the high winds and sailed a good course to win the first Coves Challenge.  Fast wind and interesting tacks up the 'wind tunnel.'  Bill land George had the O'Day going fast.

Mike Freund had a small issue on his jib cunningham in the tunnel area and  brushed very close to the tree lined shores.  Mike F enjoyed the event and wished more had tried it out.  He said, "I learned a lot from this event."

Albrecht had Maxi and Sir Franzi (their sailing dog) on the J-22.  Phil Scheetz with Kristen sailed the first half of the course.  All had tales of how the water got in the cockpit - "we all did not keep it flat."

Bill H and Mike F took home the first annual Coves awards - a nautical NSC compass.Coves NSC CompassCoves NSC Compass
