Photos from the October winter storm at the lake!

We tried to haul out the rest of our sailboats this weekend! Only a few foolishly pulled their sailboats out on Saturday during the freezing cold snow storm, including our club committee boats. John and Amy Ivankovits pulled their Capri 22 “ Liberty ”; Jim Thompson helped his friend Ken haul out his Catalina 22 and Jerry Gabel pulled his Hunter 23.5 “The Great Escape”. Jerry’s motor did not start so he sailed his Hunter with his friend in the storm to the launch ramp for his last Great Escape sailing experience before he sold his sailboat! Sunday morning we all arrived after driving around many road detours to try again only to find out that Harrisburg School Road was closed because of down electric lines and two large down trees blocking the road. The park was completely shut down, so we all went home and hopefully we can try next weekend to haul out the rest of our sailboats. At my last count there about 100 boats still left in the marina.
Below are a few pictures from this weekend freaky October snow storm.
