Jesse FieldingJesse FieldingWe are thrilled to announce that Jesse Fielding from the crew of Morning Light will join us at our NSC Mid-Winter Event on January 23rd! Jesse has been very kind in offering to spend time with us to share his experience in completing the race and making the movie. He will be stopping by the Sellersville Theater on his way home from Key West Race Week.

Jesse is currently attending the University of Rhode Island. He is pursuing a double major in Political Science and Economics. Jesse grew up sailing in Rhode Island on all types of boats. He learned to sail on a Sunfish and took it from there. He was captain of both his high school and university sailing teams. He has a passion for sailing and the ocean.

We were introduced to Jesse by Robbie Haines. Robbie is an Olympic Gold medalist in sailing from the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, sailing team manager for Morning Light and now with North Sails. According to Robbie, "Jesse is a hard worker with a great personality, but a bull in a china shop on a sailboat. He's come from a little bit of a rough background and that's even more reason why I think the world of him. He never asks for anything and is always the first at the boat. He'll go far in life."

Please bring your copies of the Morning Light video or book (What the Sea Teaches Us) for Jesse to autograph.
