Wednesday Night Race Results
Wednesday Night Sailing is our low-key event for the serious and the not so serious sailors. We continue to use perfomance handicapping for our Wednesday sailing. Each week the skipper's performance is weighted against the other skippers. Next week you get to sail with your newly calculated handicap (NSC-PNc).

NSC-PN is calculated as D-PN divided by 83.0 x 100. NSC-PNc is the adjusted weekly rating. e.g. 84.3 divided by 83.0 x 100 = 101.6 or 101.6% of the Thistle D-PN value of 83.0. |
SCORING. The Low-Point Scoring System, Appendix A2.2 of the racing rules, or the system adopted by the individual Fleet, will apply. Boats will use the latest USSA Portsmouth 'D-PN' rating without wind factors plus Genoa Allowance Modification factor, modified each week by average results. No equipment allowances but rating adjustments for modified boats. |
