Nockamixon Sail Club is the Home of Sailors and Sailing at the beautiful 1450-acre lake within the Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA. The Park has a Marina with docks for boats up to 24 ft and a dry storage area for boats on trailers. The Nockamixon Sail Club was established in 1974, shortly after the Lake was filled, to organize activities for sailing at the Lake. The Club serves both Racing and Cruising sailors with a full calendar of events from April to November each year. Racing includes one-design and Portsmouth handicap competitions.  Our fleets include: the Catalina 22, Chesapeake Bay Cruisers, Com-Pac, Flying Scot, Hunter, Impulse 21, Mariner, O'DayPrecision, Thistle and Victoria.

Commodore's Message

Last day of racing! Saturday! Frostbite series, or maybe regatta makeup day. Not sure how Gary decides that, but there we have it.

And for the rest of us, it's the worst day of the year: Official Haul-Out Weekend. Club members are invited to hang out and lend a hand getting boats out of the water, because the last day of marina season is 10/31. Although it seems early to me, we do haul-out weekend the second-to-last weekend, in case the weather is horrible, so we have that last buffer weekend. Some of us like to wait until the very last weekend, but we've been bitten by nor'easters before. Make hay while the sun is shining! We anticipate hauling out the committee boat after racing on Saturday; the chase boat will stay in through the following weekend in case it is needed. I've towed plenty of boats to the ramps for haulout over the years, so I'm glad of the chase boat!

The club will have 2 pressure washers on hand for slime removal, and coffee/donuts for breakfast
