Nockamixon Sail Club is the Home of Sailors and Sailing at the beautiful 1450-acre lake within the Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA. The Park has a Marina with docks for boats up to 24 ft and a dry storage area for boats on trailers. The Nockamixon Sail Club was established in 1974, shortly after the Lake was filled, to organize activities for sailing at the Lake. The Club serves both Racing and Cruising sailors with a full calendar of events from April to November each year. Racing includes one-design and Portsmouth handicap competitions.  Our fleets include: the Catalina 22, Chesapeake Bay Cruisers, Com-Pac, Flying Scot, Hunter, Impulse 21, Mariner, O'DayPrecision, Thistle and Victoria.

Commodore's Message

All club members are encouraged to come out this weekend to help fellow sailors pull boats. We will have the club pressure washers set up at the back of the rigging lot. These washers are really for club members only, but it's a great opportunity for members to talk up club membership. I will try to bring keychains that members can hand out to non-members as we give them a hand. RC Cruising Colin has made arrangements for a hoagie tray for lunch. Weather looks like it's going to be rainy on Friday and possibly over night, but clearing out on Saturday. The problem with this is our typical NW winds that follow a front like this, so it will be gusty. Typically, this isn't such a big problem with enough hands on the dock at the ramps, or waiting for a lull to drop your mast. It'll be chilly, and with the breeze, it'll probably be cold, so dress warmly. In years past, most of the activity seems to happen on Saturday, but we will be leaving one pressure washer in the club shed for Sunday

We're always looking for people who love to sail (and new friends) -- please contact us or download our APPLICATION FORM, fill it out, and mail to the address indicated. We'll be happy to arrange a tour of the lake and facilities, provide some basic instruction, and flood you with loads of free advice!  By the way, we do not provide sailing lessons nor does the club rent boats but members participating in the skills learning events will enhance their level of sailing competence.
