Nockamixon Sail Club is the Home of Sailors and Sailing at the beautiful 1450-acre lake within the Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA. The Park has a Marina with docks for boats up to 24 ft and a dry storage area for boats on trailers. The Nockamixon Sail Club was established in 1974, shortly after the Lake was filled, to organize activities for sailing at the Lake. The Club serves both Racing and Cruising sailors with a full calendar of events from April to November each year. Racing includes one-design and Portsmouth handicap competitions.  Our fleets include: the Catalina 22, Chesapeake Bay Cruisers, Com-Pac, Flying Scot, Hunter, Impulse 21, Mariner, O'DayPrecision, Thistle and Victoria.

Commodore's Message

I'm very excited to say that this weekend's events are an Invitational Regatta and Singlehander's Race on Saturday. I'm excited because I'm FINALLY going to be able to participate in the Singlehander's Race this year! I'll be bringing my Force 5, and all other sailors with a singlehand boat such as Laser, Sunfish, etc. are welcome to race singlehander's class. We can also bring out the club Sunfish. Invitational Regattas are typically single start events, but maybe if there are enough singlehand boats, RC might hook us up for our own start? Please keep in mind that Singlehanders does not mean you are sailing your Thistle/Scot/whatever singlehanded without crew. For purposes of this race, singlehander means boats which are typically cat rigged dinghies raced without crew, such as Lasers, Sunfish, Force 5, RS Aero, Melges 14, Zuma, Mini Sunfish, Finn, Optimist... You get the idea. If you are interested in racing a club Sunfish, please arrive early enough, probably by 9:00, to tow out
